Handmade FOF "Solo II mod" working, hunting and survival knife
Solo II mod, 4 3/8" blade, 1 1/2" tall, 9" overall, 1/4" thick FOF 5160 high carbon alloy. Charred birds eye maple handle with hydrofit pins. This is a great all around blade design suited for many tasks. I can make a kydex sheath for this knife upon request. I've been wanting to buy from FOF for 5 years... finally saved up for one of Ben's blades. Dang... what an awesome knife! The charred birds eye maple is just beautiful. And like the handle, the finish on the blade is excellent to look at and feel. The 1/4'' tang is so beefy and balanced perfectly at the top of the grip. Came nice and sharp. The kydex sheath it came with snaps in better than any kydex sheath I've owned. I've fielded this knife a few times now and it doesn't disappoint. The edge is still great, and I'm certain a bald eagle screeches overhead every time it's unsheathed. I seriously can't wait to get another blade from FOF! This time it definitely won't be 5 years later.
